President Donald Trump is taking a break from his busy schedule of promoting his tax reform efforts and preparing for his trip to the United Kingdom for the United Nations General Assembly, but he is expected to make an appearance at a fundraiser hosted by the Las Vegas Sands Corp. on Tuesday.
The president and his daughter Ivanka Trump will host the event at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Las Vegas, the Associated Press reports.
Trump will be joined by his son Eric, his daughter Tiffany, and daughter-in-law Lara Trump.
“It will be the first time he will go back to the country he loves and it will be an honor,” the president’s brother-in of policy, Josh Kushner, told ABC News.
Trump is scheduled to make his way to London on Wednesday, where he will address the UN General Assembly.
The UN General Body was set to convene on Tuesday, and it is expected that the president will speak.
“The United States is in the midst of a historic economic recovery,” Kushner said.
He’s been very successful in the first month, and he’s looking forward for the next one.” “
I think it will take the right mix of things to get the job done.
He’s been very successful in the first month, and he’s looking forward for the next one.”
During the speech, Trump will urge world leaders to reject “corrupt politics” and will also highlight the importance of “the rule of law.”
Trump and his team are expected to emphasize the importance for the Trump administration to be “a true advocate of American values,” as well as to be a “meritocratic, strong leader.”
“We’re all going to have to get together and work together to make sure that our country is a place that people love to be, that people can be proud of, that we are a nation of laws,” Kushner told ABC.
“And that we’re not going to allow our country to be run by a corrupt system, or a system of lawlessness.”
He will also urge the world leaders who are visiting the United State to look at the “danger of political correctness” and instead “fight for the people’s right to be heard.”
