A tourism company has found that many tourists have been sceptical about Grenadians tourism industry.
In a report published by the French tourist agency INSEE, more than 50 per cent of respondents said that Grenadian tourism was “unreliable”.
It also found that, “most Grenadine tourists do not consider Grenada a destination”.
The tourism company, Grenada Tourism Group, also found “consideration by locals” for the Grenadines tourism industry, and that many of them felt that it was “a low priority”.
Tourism is currently one of the most popular tourist activities in Grenada, and is attracting around $2 billion dollars in annual tourism revenue.
The report also said that tourism companies had noticed an increase in the number of visitors to the island from the UK, France, Italy and Germany.
In January, Grenadia welcomed more than 2,500 visitors.
